Kent House and Hughes House (Home and Community Care (HACC) Community Centre)
Kent and Hughes Houses are a Community Centre sponsored by Armidale Dumaresq Council, with financial assistance from the Department of Ageing, Disability and Homecare.
The Centre provides programs, activities and information for the frail aged, people with disabilities and their carers.
A number of rooms are available for hire. These rooms are suitable for meetings, training sessions or private functions.

2009 Access Award Nominations now open!
People with disabilities, their families/carers, or organisations working with people with disabilities are invited to nominate an eligible business or individual for the 2009 Access Award.
Nomination forms, including eligibility criteria, can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page. Nominations close Friday, 16th October 2009.

Care for Children with Disabilities
Respite Care for children aged 0-18 to give parents and other carers a break in the family home, with a host family or in any other appropriate venues.

Armidale Dementia Day Respite Service
Wednesday Respite Program for people with Dementia at Hughes House. Support and advice for carers and other services.

Recreation Access Project
Assists people with disabilities between the ages of 16 to 65 to integrate into community recreation and leisure activities. Advises the aged and people with disabilities of impending road and footpath works and associated road closures.

Provides foot care to the frail aged and people with disabilities.

The Centre assists people wishing to become actively involved in their local community. The Centre helps you find a rewarding volunteer position within the community service of your choice. Your gift of time will be used to assist others in our community.

Carers Support Group - A chance for carers and those aware of the needs of carers to meet and support each other. The group often has a guest speaker to enlighten them on a particular topic. The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month in the Hughes House Meeting Room.

Armidale Circle of the Royal Sydney Philatelic Club (Stamp Club) - Looks at stamps, their history and planning for their preservation. Meets 2nd Wednesday of the month in Hughes House Meeting Room.
